Light up your new kitchen with style

At Beau-Port Kitchens we understand that lighting is an important consideration when designing your new kitchen space. Our expertise and experience means we can advise you when planning a lighting scheme and choosing the right lighting for your new traditional handmade kitchen or contemporary German kitchen. Multifunctional rooms and open plan living mean different lighting is required for different zones. Preparation areas need to be well lit, cupboards illuminated for ease and accessibility or display purposes. Ceiling lights and pedants can be used to create ambiance and impact.

Lighting like kitchen design is a very personal choice, but regardless of whether your style is traditional handmade shaker style kitchen, contemporary German kitchen, retro, industrial, antique or modern handmade design, Beau-Ports Kitchen designers can advise you about all aspects of interior cupboard lighting, recessed integrated under cupboard and shelf lighting, floor lighting and overhead lighting when designing your new kitchen. Not only are they experienced in lighting solutions, they can source, supply and have bespoke lighting designed and made for their customers.

Interior cupboard lights can be horizontal or vertical illuminating the space perfectly. Under cupboard and shelf lighting is discreet and contemporary, remote controlled with a variety of dimming options from bright whites to illuminate the workspaces to soft subtle tones which create mood and ambience. The lighting can be designed as lighting bars, spotlights or a combination of both. Our hand made kitchens feature enclosed lighting hidden neatly behind the frame. No more unsightly bulbs on display under the cupboards when you are seated in the kitchen. Again, these can be remote controlled and or wired into the main kitchen lighting scheme. All unit and shelf lighting use cost effective LED bulbs.

Pendant lighting allows us to experiment. The style of the shade and height of the light creates impact and makes a statement. Rise and fall lights over islands units and dining areas offer flexibility. Wide shades disperse light evenly over a greater area and can be contemporary or traditional. Domed pendants with a copper interior give an on-trend twist to a vintage style light. The metal interior reflects and diffuses a warm light. Use Glass pendants to show off contemporary style bulbs and flood the room with light.

For dramatic impact and a real talking point include a Falmec pendant. A beautifully styled contemporary Italian light with a primary function to extracts steam, cooking smells and purify the air, bringing a sense of calm to your cooking, eating, living and entertaining space. Much quieter than a traditional extractor in can be remote controlled or set to automatic meaning the extraction element only operates when needed.

Oversized retro and reconditioned industrial single pendants and pendant bar lights creates a bold statement. The perfect partner to the latest kitchen styles which have clean lines, and metallic influences in steel, pewter, bronze and copper colours. Clever remote-controlled lighting under suspended units illuminate the floor below and showcase the contemporary style.

Chandeliers can add a touch of luxury and glamour to both contemporary and traditional kitchen or dinning spaces. Position over an island or dining table to bring the light closer to you without increasing the intensity. Soft light creates ambience and stimulates conversation. Modern and traditional chandeliers scatter light to this effect making them perfect for entertaining. Light sparkles and bounces off the crystal and glass used in both modern and traditional chandeliers.

Remote controlled changing lights above the furniture inject soft colour tones.
